10 Safer Liquid Foundations and Powders: Your Ulta Shopping Guide

The first blog I had published I proposed a challenge to switch  out a product once a month that you are using that may contain parabens, aluminum and other toxins like ammonia and excess synthetic fragrances and dyes. I had also urged readers to start paying attention to the ingredients list on your cosmetics. Once I began to do this myself I became overwhelmed!!!  I realized that there is still so much to learn when it comes to the transition to a more natural lifestyle. Even the most trusted and all natural advertised brands had aluminum in their products. If not aluminum then they weren't cruelty free or they had talc and a ton of synthetic coloring and fragrance.

As I have embarked on this natural forward beauty adventure I realized how inconvenient it is. There are some wonderful natural beauty products out there that meet the ideal checklist. The only thing was I couldn't find those products in a store near me or they were way out of my price range. I don't know about you, but I prefer to go to a store or boutique to purchase new makeup. You ladies know the daunting task of switching up your makeup brand even when you do get to try it on. So to purchase new makeup online, especially foundation and powder seems crazy to me because I don't really know how the color is going to match. This is why I spent hours at ULTA reading the back of labels for you!

While at the store I decided I needed to simplify my approach. That is when I chose to focus on the foundations and powders first. Since those were the products I was switching out anyway. I also decided to look for products that were paraben, aluminum and cruelty free. What did surprise me was that I found conflicting information on the ingredients on the ULTA website. Online it may not have stated that their wasn't any aluminum in the product but if you read the back of the box it would be listed. So if you are ordering online, when you get your product in the mail check the back of the box to make sure there is indeed no aluminum.



Here I am happy to present these foundations and powders found at ULTA that I personally sifted through to find. If you are running a little low on your foundation or powder and looking for a better alternative here is a simple list you can refer to on your next ULTA trip!
