Eliminate These 3 Energy Vampires To Increase Your Energy Naturally.

Sustaining your energy is the key to being successful at just about anything. Athletes, high level executives, moms etc... I've recently stopped drinking coffee due to the over acid production it was causing me and I have found myself running out of steam. Below are 3 vampires directly effecting your energy levels.

What is listed below are what directly effect your digestive system. Our bodies spend a ton of energy on digestion alone. If we can create an easier environment for our bodies to digest what we eat easier we can increase our energy significantly.

Here are three ingredients to eliminate from your diet to increase your energy naturally!

Processed Soy

This came to me as a shock, especially since I am new to vegan eating and so many recipes call for tofu and soy milk. Here's what I found. Soy contains high levels of phyto-estrogen which can disrupt the adrenal gland and thyroid, causing infertility and breast cancer. In men it effects their weight, shape, sex drive and fertility. It also contains Goitrogens which disrupts the production of thyroid hormones. This is very important information since your thyroid is one of your key energy sources, soy is draining your natural energy by interrupting it.

If you are going to continue to consume soy then it ought to be organic and labeled Non-GMO. Even soy "meat", soy bars, soy yogurts and soy based protein powders contain  soy protein isolates (SPI-a highly processed formula to separate the protein from the soy) which don't hold any nutritional value.

Of course there is plenty of contradicting arguments. From what I gather is that ORGANIC soy could show some health benefits. For the most part soy isn't the best choice especially since the majority of what  is sold and consumed is highly processed and pretty much worthless to eat. Taking away from our precious energy.

Lectins
So this one is a bit tricky because lectins are found pretty much in everything we know to be a health food. I pulled  my hair out researching lectins!!! Lectins are a plant based protein that can become toxic to us. When we consume food high in lectics they cause inflammation to our organs and can eat through our intestinal wall causing leaky gut. So you could only imagine the amount of energy your body spends trying to digest something it really can't. Not to mention the health risks involved would make for the ultimate energy suck!

Turns out legumes, grains, dairy, eggs and seafood contain high amounts of lectics but can be safe for consumption after they are cooked and or soaked reducing the lectin levels. What you should avoid at all cost are raw nuts, goji berries and raw kidney beans.

Fructose Corn Syrup
This one may seem obvious but there was a lot to learn about this toxic chemical. It is 20 times sweeter than sugar and its a chemical that isn't recognized by our brains. Telling your brain it should eat more even when you are full. It is also highly addictive; it has been compared to a cocaine and heroin addiction! You know how we crave sweets? This is usually why. What the fructose also does is create fungus in our bodies creating an over growth of yeast such a candida yeast for example. This yeast also triggers the brain into craving. And what does candida feed on? Yup, sugar!

The problem with your brain not recognizing what the hell fructose is your brain will put these foods into two categories. 1)Fat 2) Energy. Because it is in the synthetic family and since preservatives block your body from absorbing nutrients you can guess that your brain is going to send that fructose food to fat not energy. Foods to watch out for are high sugar yogurt, bread white or wheat and cereal bars. Be sure to read the label before you purchase any of these products or risk flushing your much needed energy down the toilet.


In conclusion, our energy is so important to a happy, healthy abundant life. If we are able to pay attention to these three things and cut them out of our diet I believe we will see significant changes in our energy levels.
